Iceland has a list of approved names that parents can give to their children. The reason behind this is that names must fit the Icelandic declension system; this means the names must be able to accommodate the grammatical endings. This rule only applies to Icelandic citizens. However, in same instance, as in this article, the rule can lead to bureaucratic problems.
